Routers:<\/h6>\n

Routers allow you to connect two networks, the Internet (WAN) and your local network (LAN). It allows data to flow between networks with routes following a set of rules and security. Routers also allow you to configure a function called VPN. This function is used to connect one or more locations by creating a direct link between them. It is ideal for people on the move or telecommuting so they can access office resources such as printers, shared files on servers and even IP telephony. VPNs are still widely used but are being replaced by cloud services.<\/p>\n

Firewall:<\/h6>\n

The firewall is used as a complement in a computer network, either hardware or software, it allows to control network traffic and data flow, to block intrusions, viruses and malware.<\/p>\n

Switches:<\/h6>\n

As for the switches (SWITCH), they allow you to connect various equipment to your local network. They have 4, 8, 16, 24 or 48 RJ45 ports and multiple fiber ports. The POE network functionality is one of the most sought after. It allows switches to power network equipment such as IP phones, Wi-Fi access points and more through the network cables connected to it. It has the effect of reducing the amount of cables that connect your equipment allowing for better management.<\/p>\n

Wireless access points (WiFi)<\/h6>\n

The last essential element is the wireless access point\/wifi antenna. They are a must. Another name for wireless networks is WLAN. The advantages of wifi are mobility, ease of use and low cost. It allows users to connect wirelessly to the local network in a secure manner. Various encryption protocols like WPA2 and the latest WPA3 technology are used to secure networks.
